I have always loved sunset photography, but i really haven't gotten into it much with my new d80. My Hp r976 had a great sunset preset but it tended to turn everything (including landscape) a little too orange.
The d80 has great saturation, so i decided to try it out on tonights sunset. i accidentally shot with ISO 3200 still set, so the shots are a little grainy. here are the results:

Macro
These are some of the out-takes from todays Project365 picture:
I had a lot of fun playing with macro on my D80's Kit lens (Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-135mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED), and i am quite impressed with how narrow a depth of field it can achieve.

First Post
Well, i have tried blogs before, but none of them turned out well, so i hope i can do better this time.
I just got a Nikon D80 for christmas, and i am really getting into photography, but nobody likes keeping their photos to themselves.
I have created this blog in tandem with my Project 365 blog to supplement the daily pictures with other experiments and out-takes. I expect that the posts here will not be as regular as my other blog, although i imagine that some days i may feel like posting more than one topic. nevertheless i hope to keep it updated at least once a week.
and so it begins, i hope you enjoy!
